How to Reclaim Life, A Woman’s Journey From Providing to Becoming

“There comes a time when the giving turns inward-not from selfishness but from soulfulness”

Reclaiming Life, One Step at a Time

From my very being, my life was centered around giving, doing, and putting others first. And, I have no regrets. But in doing so, I set aside my dreams and desires. Somewhere along the way, I slowly disappeared into the roles that I carried. I’m now on a quest to reclaim those aspirations that were set aside – and the deep joy of living for myself, not just for others.

I spent more than half of my life in a foreign land, carrying the weight of responsibility, making silent sacrifices, but with pride. I built, I provided, and held everything together.. My story thus far was shaped by duty, strength, resilience, and survival.

Why I started Roaming Soul Tales

Now, the responsibilities that once filled every corner of my life are easing. And in that space to fill the void in me, I am ready to reclaim what I set aside, my joy and sense of identity.

This blog, RoamingSoulTales, was born with that intention. Through travel, photography, and reflection, this space is to document that journey and inspire others along the way.

What It Means to Reclaim My Life

To reclaim my life isn’t about escape; it’s about returning to who I am.

Not to a title or a role, but to the woman underneath it all. A woman who is no longer just surviving, but becoming.

Sometimes reclaiming looks like a quiet walk alone in a park, traversing the aisles of Ikea with earnestness of finding something aesthetic, or being spiritually lost in the grandeur of old temples in peaceful solitude. Other times, it’s as simple as enjoying a cup of coffee in an unfamiliar town. It’s about being fully present – no longer lost in the mental weight of constant responsibilities. It’s in the stillness that I slow down enough to photograph a moment doing what makes my soul feel alive. Or simply writing  – like this – and finally hearing my thoughts without judgment and interruption.

This blog, RoamingSoulTales is where I will share that path:

      • Soul Tales, stories that I weave while travelling or otherwise

      • Soul Snaps, the photographs captured through my lens, paired with thoughts that reflect presence and sustainability

      • Roamer’s Log, the raw, behind-the-scenes moments, quick travel notes, tips, and soulful spontaneity

    Reclaim Isn’t Just a Word – It’s a Return

If you have spent years giving to others and now feel the quiet pull to reclaim your time, your dreams, or your peace, I want you to know you’re not alone. There is beauty, strength, and courage in starting again, even quietly.

This space is for that kind of journey. Unfiltered – just honest, soulful, and personal.

    Let’s Begin, Together
Your presence here means the world to me, albeit your continuous support will give life to this space.

Have you experienced a similar shift in your life? Nevertheless, please leave a comment to share your thoughts.

Here’s to becoming who we were always meant to be.
